In 1984, in the hubris of youth, three friends founded the Brockenstube Wädenswil. It all started with around 50 m2 of retail space on the ground floor of what is now the Ticino Theatre. And with the large display on the pavement on Seestrasse, which remains legendary to this day.
After around seven years, two of the founders moved on to other projects. The remaining founder – Christoph Hochstrasser – moved the Brockenstube to the former Wädenswil Brewery. The old brewery building was torn down in 2009, so once again we were forced to move.
We found an entire commercial building available near the Au railway station. This location offered us the perfect conditions, including three floors of space and plenty of parking.

In 2006, we founded a new line of business – a van rental service rentabus.ch. Since then, both businesses increasingly profit from and tap into synergies with one another. Today, we offer our customers 10 vans in different sizes.
